Well, if such a mental illness exists then that should have a priority for resolution than disciplinary action.

So you hear stories of people "getting away with murder" (sometimes literally) on ACA or Today Tonight, with mental illness as an excuse but it really doesn't happen as often as you think...

When I'm dead, I don't give a **** what you do with me. Throw me in the bush for the foxes and the maggots, for all I care. Hell, do my rotting corpse up the arse if that's what you're in to. Steal, plunder and fondle my corpse and casket all you like. So long as the twinkle is well and truly departed from my eye, I'm just flesh and bone.
Why glorify the dead, wasting valuable resources including dumping gaming consoles 6 feet underground? The family should be thanking him for saving them a fine for littering (as far as I know, Nintendo did not design GameBoys to be biodegradable).

Indeed. GreenPeace would be suing my family for causing an obesity epidemic within our local animal populations. Maybe they could donate me to Ethiopia, those kids are so hungry they'll eat just about anything!

The paid ceremony, regardless of cost, has proven to be the chosen option over here in our christian nation. $10-$15k is a pretty expensive funeral, by most standards.

No one (in their right mind) chucks a body in the bushes/gutter/creek, regardless of beliefs or country of origin. Thats just disrespectful, even to the most back-water tribes people.

There is always a ceremony of sorts and, to an extent, thats going to cost money/time/resources.

In terms of how I feel about dying, I don't care what happens to my lifeless husk. But unlike some of you, I understand that funerals and burial ceremonies are not for the dead person; they are for the benefit of those left behind to provide some sort of closure and remembrance.

I may not care what happens to my corpse, but I sure as hell care what happens to the corpses of my loved ones.
