I love NRL, but I don't think it needs "skills" per se, it's all instinctual, when to load off the ball, when to step or run, when to make the kick on the 5th.

I have to LOL when AFL fans call rugby a two-city sport. I mean it's true, but it's equally true of AFL. Plus, if you're going to take the line of widespread = valid then AFL is only played in southern and western states of a single country. Sports like football, tennis, cycling, basketball, hockey, etc are played in every corner of the Earth so must therefore be better, right? It's a ridiculous argument.

Likewise, AFL's high attendances are just indicative of the way sport is followed in Melbourne. EVERY sport gets high attendances in Melbourne. One could just as easily argue that since AFL only gets good attendances in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth and those cities also happen to be boring as bat****, that the crowds must be a reflection of how boring those towns are. The crowds argument is also ridiculous.
