Uh, I flick through them to see if there is any character bios or story line but that's about it. Half the games I get I haven't moved the manuals from their original position.

hes talking about 1. the manuals that come with your xbox game i.e. the one in the case. or 2. the manuals that are made usually by a third party. usually called "strategy guides". go to your local eb. they are made for all the popular games

If a game has a coloured manual, most of the time it's a great game to buy.

If it's Black and white, I avoid it

Cept MW2, but that had the worst manual I've ever seen!

Anyway, I read them if I'm bored on the way home getting them

With games I never read them unless there's some background info on the game's characters or story. So in essence I just skim through it.

But for some instruction manuals I real the whole book at least once particularly with music equipment. There are often small things that make a huge difference to the playability later on.

HAHA, sometimes the manuals have a notes section in the back which can be doubled as toilet paper if you’re in a bind.
