So we've been talking about how F.E.A.R 3 is lacking on the scares, and I started to remember about some of the scariest games I've played.

Of course it changes depending on how old you are, but I remember Resident Evil 2 scaring the crap out of me when I was a kid.

Another would have to be the original F.E.A.R, along with Condemned: Criminal Origins who were both made by the same company.

What are some of the scariest games you've ever played. Silent Hill 2 was definitely frightening at the time.

haven't really seen much on amnesia. Might buy it for the lulz. Dead Space Extraction on wii was pretty scary. I think part of its immersiveness was the controls and it being on rail. Maybe it was cause i played alot of wii CoD but the controls with time feel alot more natural than dual analogs ever will.

I highly recommend Penumbra: Overture or Penumbra: Black Plague.

I think they were made by the same folks who made Amensia so they're very similar in gameplay, but I reckon those (Black Plague especially) are even scarier than Amnesia! ;O

I'm considering making a Playthrough/Let's Play of the Penumbra games. I've played Amnesia so much that it's gotten boring.
