This is looking to be the best DragonBall Z game and representation of the Anime yet, they've really gone the extra mile with this, create your own character mode and a story to go along with that.

Along with one of the most brilliant DragonBall Z story modes ever that captures most of the great scenes from the Anime and replicates them with in-game graphics, and Anime style cutscenes that look like Z, but with modern animation.

It also apparently has 30 minutes worth of those Anime cutscenes, which funnly enough is double what Z Kai had of new animation that looked like it was done in paint. :P

I've just completed the Sayian Sag in Story Mode. It's a pretty fun game, the fight scenes can get a little tedious at times, but overall it's pretty fun.

I had the most intense fight the other day on hard mode. I just did a super on the opponent, and he had ONE health left !! I had about 3000-4000 health, and he started a combo on me (I lost the clash) and I'm like sh1t ive lost. I then furiously pressed all the face buttons to try and counter, which I ended up doing, which I didn't expect since my ki meter was pretty much zero. It then went into the 'counter' minigame in which u have to stop the circle within a certain area. It went back and forth, I countered and BOOM I won the match!!

It's moments like these that make this game so awesome. Was on the edge of my seat, especially since it was one of those long fights lol

Oh I didn't know of it does need to unlock more faces, hairs, and costumes etc through Hero Mode. Thanks for telling me about that.

I am up to Namek Saga in Story Mode so far. It's pretty amazing fun game. Also I tried my first fight in Online Mode. Ah this isn't smooth gameplay due little bit lag.

Is anyone having difficulty unlocking the W. Tournament Hard Achievement/Trophy? I beat the W. Tourney twice on hard now, and nothing at all.

I think they should of just made the gameplay similar to Budokai Tenkaichi 3. This game really gives you little control over what you do. And the voices kinda suck. Doesnt sound like they used the original voice actors to me.
The anime cutscenes are awesome though, makes the games worth buying.

The English voices are Kai voice actors (some of which are new) and mixes them with the Z voices. That's probably why it sounds weird.

you have to select world tournament from the main menu and put it on hard. you are probably doing world tournament in story mode or hero mode, and thats why its not working

how are u guys progressing in terms of hero mode etc? ive already completed story mode a while ago to unlock all the characters, in hero mode so far i've finished and unlocked everything for the "standard type" hero... which took AGES, but now i have to go through small type and heavy type heros as well to unlock all the skills and auras [WTF]

I just got the game on PS3 for free yesterday by trading in LBP (I have a digital copy), Borderlands ( I have the GoTY on Steam) and Halo Reach.

It's pretty awesome. I'm up to Vegeta VS Cui on story mode, and up to the Great Ape on Hero Mode.

ok, wat are ur favourite supers/ultimate attacks in the game??

my favourite supers are:
-shining sword attack (trunks)
-meteor combination (goku)
-ultimate breaker (gogeta)
-big bang kamehameha (gogeta)

my favourite ultimates are:
-destructo disk (krillin)
-full power big bang kamehameha (gogeta)
-super spirit ball (yamcha)

Yeh I agree. I'm not even gonna bother finishing the game. Probably just trade it in towards Skryim...Gonna keap my Gohan statue though, haha.

Hopefully they'll do a game like Tenkaichi 2/3 sometime in the near future.
