Best Co-Op Experience?

Over the past few years we've been seeing co-op multiplayer becoming more and more often. Some do it well, others are epic failures. What is your favourite Co-Op experience?

Borderlands would have to be one of my favourites. Single-player was decent, but throw three friends into the mix and this experience is a ridiculous amount of fun.

I also consider Left 4 Dead 1&2 being some of my favourite co-op experiences to date. What about you guys?

Gears was to gory for my likeing, only played it for like 20 min lol.
I played the first army of 2.
All the halos.
Just starting LBP which like pretty fun.
Lost planet 2 is meh.

Looking for more, but gotta be good.

RE5 is actually pretty awesome co-op.

Funnily enough, that whole team element is what ruined the game because it became so action-focused.

That was a Japanese developer's attempt at getting Japanese gamers interested in multiplayer.

Or it was a Japanese developer thinking it new what Western gamers want when it came to good online. They got it right, but we don't want you to ruin a great series in the process.

L4D! It is absolutely Co-Op by design and does it, and team based play, better than any other game I've played :)

Borderlands is fun for sure, but not exactly anything new. Diablo did the exact same style of Co-Op

My mum is a bit annoying like that, always gets hung up on the little things.

Back on topic - yeah L4D totally relies on Co-op. It's awesome.

Rich and I can play that for DAYS. We have totally completed the whole game, all the DLC at least 5 times now.
There is always so much to do, interesting guns, awesome battles.
Its fun to spec up characters differently each time... I could seriously crap on about Borderlands for hours :D
Clearly we play split screen as well, which works out even better when someone picks up a gun the other wants.
Real life battle- "I'll poke your eye out biiiaatch"

Yeah I am yet to complete it thanks to my lost save file issue :( But yeah so much fun online, I love it!
