Ubisoft has revealed their new Assassins Creed title, Assassins Creed Revelations via their Facebook page. For a brief moment last night the official Assassin's Creed Facebook page displayed a link to a mysterious teaser site, along with the message, "The day you have been waiting for has arrived!!!

So, will this be another spinoff like Brotherhood or will this be the 3rd instalment to the series?

I think I'm one of the only people out there that really enjoyed AC2. Lol.

Yet to play this one so I guess I'll have to wait and see if it stands up.

Nah I liked AC2 it was the best of the first 3 IMO even managed to get the platinum, I haven't played Revelations yet it's probably more of the same as Brotherhood so i'm in no rush.

Brotherhood was ok but considering it took this long for me to get around to finishing it shows the series is getting a bit repedetive.

Hopefully AC3 will freshen it up abit with different ideas.

Yeah I heard massive hype about Brotherhood and it kind of put me off to be honest. I felt the series was just getting out of control I guess.
It didn't seem to me as though they left enough time between games. I clearly just get turned off when I think they are just in it for the money making and not for the actual gameplay/story.

Revelations was better than AC2 in my opinion.. didnt really get into AC:B but Revelations is more styled like AC1 but its heavily improved from what they've learned from their other games.

Assassin’s Creed III Will Be Out On October 30
Ubisoft won't even wait a full year to release the next Assassin's Creed, because the next one, Assassin's Creed III, will be out on October 30. The company announced that today during a call with investors, bumping the AC series up from its traditional November release.

I should get around to playing this again.

Playin through my 360 version of AC2 right now. Then might go back to AC:B and do some of the tombs and that for le achievements and then play Revs...

The capture game on Revs is stupid though. dun wanna play.

Revelations wasnt as good as the other games IMO. AC2 and Brotherhood had great stories, it wasnt until the end of Rev that it started to get interesting. And hardly anything new was brought to the table... I hope AC3 is as big of a leap as AC2 was from the original.

Finally got around to finishing this game more or less the same as 2 and brotherhood but with bombs and other minor fixes but the mechanics/aim of the game is the same.. it felt very grinding but i was only ever interested in the story.. its only worth it if your a die hard AC fan...I just hope no. 3 is very different...

Just finished Revelations campaign also, i'm surprised no one else knew about the locale for AC3 after seeing the ending it showed a map of North America.

Was alright but I thought Brotherhood & Revelations weren't as good as AC2, hopefully AC3 is the timeline/gameplay fresh direction the franchise needs.

They didn't wrap up Ezios or Altairs backstory to the best of their abilities I felt that was a big missed opportunity.

I loved the ending. Contemplating another playthrough. Still confused on how to train assasin's that you send to other cities? Accidentally done it once. Oh well.

Also they finished Ezio's story in the short animation dvd "Assassins Creed: Embers"

Oh yeah forgot about the DVD might have to give that a look, I'm currently doing the Portalesque Desmond missions.

I also didn't do a lot of the Assassin quests after getting 100% in AC2 I didn't feel the need to do it with ACB & ACR, i'm glad AC3 is going in a different direction the gameplay needs abit of an upgrade.

Overall i'm glad I finished both revelations & brotherhood to wrap up the story of Ezio who was a quality character, I didn't mind the fact he lasted 3 games/spin offs.

Definitely worth purchasing. It's a real good game. Good storyline, Good mechanics. No real problems with it.

(i got the collectors edition from JB a few months ago for $60)

"No time like the present" :D

It's a good game. Except for when i played through it TWICE for that achievement where you press a button through every cut-scene and it changes the camera or something. It glitched and i never got it :(
