It's a nice tease. I think Rockstar does a great job of introducing story elements while subtly showing off gameplay features, without actually showing gameplay. It's mostly a mash-up of cutscenes footage, which often are scenes that lead directly into gameplay (so a scene with a place suggests it might be the beginning or end of a mission where you control a plane). So they didn't show it in actual gameplay, but we know it's there.

Their trailers always have more than meets the eye. You have to watch like 40 times to see absolutely everything. But even watching it once was pretty cool I thought.

I read gaming news more than I game.

Farking boring. Just another rendered game opening sequence as opposed to anything game play related. I'll not be preordering it. I'll probably get it eventually, but with the disappointment of 4 after San Andreas I'll not be eagerly anticipating it.

I say the trailer looks good and with saints row 3 being so over the top action maybe GTA 5 is going for a more mature experience in any case I have never had a bad experience with this franchise
and can expect a great one unless everyone quits at Rockstar for a bad work environment

The biggest thing that stuck out to me was the visuals. My GOD how gorgeous do they look? The cars are mint and the character models are almost lifelike. Doesn't look nearly as "rubbery" as the GTA IV character models. Looks like Rockstar have raised the bar once again in terms of visual appeal.

I wish I had been. The incessant nagging phone calls for man and woman dates and the trophy wxxxing mentality for stuff rather than useful stuff you can use in game(eg, shoot 200 pigeons for a trohpy rather than a new respawning gun each ten packages). It is still a good game, and I'll get 5, but I'll be waiting until it is like 18GBP at Zavvi...

XXXX trophies. In all honestly my highest desire for a PS3 feature is turning that crap 100% off. I donb't want to get them. I don't want to be XXXXing told about it each time I wipe my xxx that I scored another XXXXing trophy (Congratulations! You got a bronze trophy "Watching the XXXXing opening sequence"). I don't give a XXXX and I don't like my game play being interrupted by some cyber XXXX giving me a preschoolers gold XXXXing star.

The whole "forming realistic friendships in a game" doesn't really entice me if it doesn't have that much affect on the experience, which I don't think it did in GTA IV imo.

i hope they have dates like in original san andreas but not friendships where u have to meet with them or u lose their respect.

also i hope they have a map feature like was implemented in vice city stories where once u completed a hidden object or a unique jump it was marked on the map. so much easier to keep track that way

Yeah I hate finding a sweet jump while you're in the middle of a mission and you think "I'll come back to that" only to never find it again :(

I didn't even realise that tbh. I remember always going back to find jumps that I'd seen but hardly ever being able to find them again.

i understand i would still have to use a guide (iphone apps are the best cos u can mark them off) but after i find it or at least complete it then it should show up so i know what i have done

I just want to play San Andreas again to find all the sick stunt areas in that game. Easily the best GTA for that imo.

Those relationships on GTA4 drove me nuts they should have made an option where you could block everyone that didn't have work for you anymore.
