[MMGN] - Search Update

Hi Guys,

We are always trying to improve MMGN. I know that Search doesn't work so well on MMGN, and due to popular demand, we want to address our current search.

What's your ideal search result look like?

1 - Shall we do global searches? across all mmgn sites from individual pages?

2 - Shall we combine results or separate them?

I think it's easier for it to be global. Threads aren't always in the channel you think they are.

Hmmmm maybe have the option to search the channel you are one or all channels? I dunno how hard it is to make it that way but it is just a option

The search isn't that bad, it does its job well. I think there is a bigger issue with thread naming. If I can't find something in search, which is rare, I just assume it was named incorrectly or mispelled.

Global would be ideal. A lot of times I do the same search on multiple channels looking for shared threads. I only find what I'm looking for either by chance or if I remember what channel that particular thread was mode on.
Also I think the search engine should pick up threads with similar or part words of what you are searching for. Some people may name a thread differently eg MegaDrive instead of Mega Drive.
