From DC to Marvel and Web Comics to The funnies you find in the morning paper, comics can be found in lots of places. I read comics everyday, and have been for many years. This thread is for anyone and everyone who wants to talk about comics.

You read a lot of VG Cats and you want to talk about it? Do so here. You like to buy printed comic Books? Discuss what you're reading! There re so many different comics out there, surely there's much to discuss.

I'm not much of a Captain America expert, but the current series is only up to issue 10. There's probably a hardcover out already, I assume it'd have the first 4-6 issues in it. Then you could just get a few back issues and be up to date.

Does the current series have a specific name or is it just Captain America?

Start with Brubaker's first issue of the last series. I'll post some links to the ones you want later tonight or tomorrow. You won't regret it.

They are available in trades and also oversized hardcover collections from memory.

So I just read Avengers vs X-men (1-2), the main avengers story (1-8), The New 52 Justice League (1-6) and the first issue of Captain Atom.

I'm really liking Avengers vs X-men, I definitely going to this follow the series.

Also, I appreciate that Snix for recommending The Avengers series. I really like it so far. I'm just wondering where is the hulk (the original one not the red)? Speaking of the red hulk, I don't know much about him.

I like The New 52 Justice League. I haven't read any previous version of the Justice League so I'm wondering how this one fair against them. I'll definitely follow this one though.

I tried picking up Captain Atom because I'm always curious about his character and his powers. Although, the first issue didn't really pick up that much. I don't know if I should continue it though.

Start at Volume 5 issue 1 Winter Soldier and basicall read to the end of the list (igmoring the Misc section at the end).

@Newbie1 Jim Lee's artwork is fantastic as always. Grant Morrison's run is my favourite. I particularly like the way he makes it clear why Batman, the guy with no super powers, is held in awe by the other members.

The arcs in order are;

New World Order

World War III

I'll probably try to read into some of Grant Morrison's work when I get up to date with the current Justice League series which isn't much.

You guys are really helpful, I wouldn't have known where to begin without the helping guidance here. :)

Yeah, I just read naruto only. I used to read bleach too before it got horrible.

Its just called Captain America. Like I said, I'm not overly big on Cap, but Rashy seems to know a lot more than me.

No problem at all man. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. If you're enjoying the AvX series, you may want to pick up Uncanny Xmen and Wolverine and the Xmen. They are, as well as all the avengers series and the other xmen series too, all crossing over and adding more to the story of AvX.

In regards to Hulk, the green one is t an Avenger, and even though he was a founding member of the original Avengers, he leaves the group in issue 2. He still fights with the avengers from time to time (like in Avengers Assemble) but he's on his own for the most part. I don't read the incredible hulk series, but I think that Bruce banner and hulk have actually separated now.

I'll explain red hulk in spoilers.

Red Hulk used to be General "Thunderbolt" Ross, the guy who used to be hell bent on hunting down and killing Green Hulk. He is also Betty Ross's dad (banners love interest who also becomes red she-hulk). He gets turned into Ref Hulk. I've just started reading "Hulk". No one knows who red hulk is at first, not even the readers of the comic, not until like a year Into publication. He started off as a bad guy of sorts. I'm not sure how he made his transformation, as I am yet to read it myself. I just read a bit on Wikipedia myself, which made me want to read it.

Wow, bruce banner and the hulk seperated. I don't even know if that works out for the story though. They seem to compliment each other though.

I heard about the Wolverine and the Xmen, I was actually curious about it too. I haven't heard about Uncanny Xmen, I'll try look into it.

I just finished the Omega Effect. I enjoyed the story overall, and I especially liked the interaction between the 3 title characters. I'd also like to mention that the art in DD 11 is amazing.

I read the first issue. It was interesting but kind of strange. I've been tossing up whether I should wait for the TPBs or follow the series as it is released. It will be good to see what you think of them.

Really enjoyed the Avengers. It appears to be loosely based on the Ultimates that I keep banging on about.

I'm reading it. I like it do far. Picked it up because I loved Brian K Vaughn's Y: The Last Man do much.
