Does anyone actually like summer?

Everyday I watch on TV I see people continuly say that they love summer and hate the winter but if you really compare it summer is the worst season there is.

in winter if your cold you can wear a jacket outside and be warm, in summer you can wear whatever you want outside you won't feel cooler.
in winter mozzies won't attack you at all, in summer its a constant problem.
in winter the electric bill is smaller since if your cold you can wear a jumpter unlike in summer where again you have to put your ac at max in order to fight the heat which fails.
bugs run rampant in summer and not in winter.
skin cancer is a bigger problem in summer since alot of people are sun bathing.
in summer you get dehydrated more often
in summer the chance of you getting sun birn and heat stroke increase
in summer you are more prone to sickness
summer brings out the idoits among people

summer sucks, i can't see why people love it so much.

No, I have these contraptions built into the walls of my house that act as.. port-holes of sorts. They allow the wonders of the outside world to flood into my house with the greatest of ease, but it is a double edged sword since there is no screening of what or who comes in through said portal.

I love summer, but I definitely complain about the heat. I enjoy being outside in the summer time, but I want somewhere cool ti retreat to. The worst part is trying to sleep in a hot stuffy apartment.

My apartment doesn't even have ceiling fans, it's a bloody nightmare. Might have to invest in one of those evaporative coolers.

Don't waste your cash on evaporative coolers. Go all out and grab a portable aircon. Costs $300ish, but is far more worth it.

I can't see how anyone could LOVE summer, unless you're a student, or someone that consistently gets time off every year during summer.

I always hear of people complaining about the weather, or being at the beach (on a weekday...), or just doing summer things while I'm at work. Those people love summer.

I don't mind summer -- I like the warm nights, clear skies, nightlife -- but I really hate heat. I am definitely a winter person.

I can adapt to the cold. The heat? Fa-get-a-bout-it!

i think the main reason i like summer is because my mate owns an awesome convertible and usually lets me use it. because it is so warm i can have the top down on it.

You can easily add layers to deal with the cold but can't shed skin to deal with the heat.

What I hate so much is people that need the heater on the highest setting, even when it's not that cold, or when the room is already sweltering. Seriously, got put a jumper on. We live in Australia ffs. People act like we get the worst winters ever.

The only way I'd deal with the heat is if I were back in QLD. At least having a pool is a possibility then since it will be used all year round. We had one in our backyard when we first moved to Sydney and it turned into a cesspool within the first winter we had.

I prefer Autumn & Spring. Summer is OK, but cannot stand relentless heatwaves. Winter is miserable, but at least we don't endue -15 degree or thereabout temps like in the Northern Hemisphere.

i love summer so much! always my fav season. i feel more alive, active and relaxed during this period. i agree that the heat gets too much when it affects sleep and u have work or schedules the next day, but nice sunny days with a cold beer out late, beach etc, its so good!!
